How will my journey be affected?
On Sunday 25 July and the weekends of 31 July & 1 August, 7 & 8 August, and Sunday 15 August, there’ll be changes to Avanti West Coast services. As a result, we’ll be operating a reduced service and our trains will be diverted via Birmingham New Street – extending journey times. Some trains will make additional stops at stations, and some will make fewer stops. Here’s a summary of services by destination:
Services to/from Scotland
One train per hour will operate in both directions between London Euston and Glasgow Central.
One train per hour will operate in both directions between London Euston and Glasgow Central/Edinburgh Waverley via the West Midlands.
Services to/from Manchester
Two trains per hour will operate in both directions between London Euston and Manchester Piccadilly – one train via Crewe; one train via Stoke-on-Trent.
On Sunday 1 and Sunday 8 July trains to/from Manchester Piccadilly will travel via Stoke-on-Trent and will not call at Crewe or Wilmslow. Rail replacement services will be in operation.

Please note on Saturday 31 July and Saturday 7 August some trains will operate between Crewe and Liverpool only.

We strongly recommend you make a reservation, plan your journey in advance and check the Avanti West Coast and National Rail Enquiries websites before travelling.
