Getting the train to Blackpool Pleasure Beach
To get the train to Pleasure Beach, you need to catch a service to Blackpool North, Blackpool South or Blackpool Pleasure Beach train stations. From Blackpool North, visitors can catch the tram from North Pier directly to Pleasure Beach, allowing them to catch their first glimpse of the town’s famous promenade.
Blackpool Pleasure Beach and Blackpool South train stations can be reached from towns and cities in the north of England including Preston, Chester, Stoke on Trent and Newcastle. Trains to Blackpool North run regularly from cities across the UK, including London, Manchester, Liverpool, and Birmingham.
London to Blackpool
The train journey from London Euston to Blackpool North is direct and takes approximately three hours. Services run regularly between 9 am and 11 pm on weekends.
Manchester to Blackpool
Trains run directly between Manchester Piccadilly and Blackpool North, with the journey taking around one hour and 20 minutes.
Liverpool to Blackpool
The direct train journey from Liverpool to Blackpool North takes around one hour and 20 minutes. Trains depart regularly from Liverpool Lime Street station.
Birmingham to Blackpool
The journey from Birmingham New Street to Blackpool North takes approximately two hours and 40 minutes by direct train.
Closest train station to Blackpool Pleasure Beach
The closest train station to Blackpool Pleasure Beach is Blackpool Pleasure Beach train station. The station is just a short walk from the park entrance, making it a convenient option for visitors who want to take a train to the beach from the north of England. Blackpool South train station is on the same train line and can be reached directly from Preston.
If you’re travelling from other parts of the UK, the best option is to take the train to Blackpool North, which is around three miles away from Blackpool Pleasure Beach. In this case, you can catch a tram or bus from the station to the park, or take a taxi.
