How to get to Fir Park Stadium

Getting to Fir Park couldn’t be easier. It’s accessible by car, with on-street parking surrounding the stadium - or for a hassle-free journey, there are regular trains to Fir Park. Airbles station is roughly half a mile away, and is the closest station for getting to Motherwell FC. Alternatively, Motherwell train station is slightly further away, roughly a 20 minute walk from Fir Park.



What to do at Fir Park Stadium

Fir Park is home to Motherwell Football Club, and has been since 1895. Motherwell play in the Scottish Premiership, and the stadium plays host to the club’s home games. Fir Park was also home to Gretna FC for the 2007-2008 Scottish Premier League season, and in the past, it's also hosted other matches including the Scottish League Cup semi-finals in 2007 and 2010. In 2011, the stadium hosted the opening ceremony of the International Children’s Games, and in 2015, it was the home venue for the Scotland women’s national football team during the FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifiers.

About Fir Park Stadium

Motherwell FC was formed in 1886, and they played at Dalziel Park until Fir Park was opened in 1895. The first match played in the stadium was Motherwell versus Celtic, which was won by the away team 8-1. The stadium capacity is 13,677.
