Walk five minutes from Tower Hill Underground Station to get to the Tower, about 15 minutes from Monument Underground or London Bridge Stations, 20 minutes from Liverpool Street, or about 25 minutes from London Charing Cross.

About the Tower of London

The Tower of London is a World Heritage Site and part of the history of British royalty. The Tower was built in 1070 by William the Conqueror in the centre of his mighty fortress. The castle is known for its security, and it has been a host of royal jewels, possessions, and even the royal family through some scary times. The Tower is also the home of the Royal Mint, Royal Armouries, and for more than 600 years until the mid-1800s, there was even a zoo on site.
