Something Rotten!

Jason Manford makes his highly anticipated return to the stage – alongside star of stage and screen Richard Fleeshman and two-time Olivier Award nominee Marisha Wallace – in the UK premiere of the hilarious, award-winning and critically acclaimed Broadway hit Something Rotten!

The ‘90s are back! The 1590s, that is. Brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom are desperate to write a hit play but are stuck in the shadow of pompous Renaissance rockstar/poet Will Shakespeare. They set out to write a strange new creation called A MUSICAL!

From the award-winning writers behind Mrs Doubtfire: The Musical, and following ten Tony Award nominations and the 2023 WhatsOnStage award-winning concert version, Something Rotten! is a side-splitting mash-up of song, dance and Elizabethan absurdity that guarantees spectacular fun for audience members of all ages. 

The Manchester Accommodation BID has provided crucial support for the ‘Manchester Gets It First’ programme to help bring ‘Something Rotten!’ to Manchester.
