The Great British Rail Sale has now ended

PROMOTIONAL FARES

1. When a Promotional Fare is purchased during the Great British Rail Sale, the following terms and conditions apply:

• These ‘Avanti West Coast Great British Rail Sale T&Cs’;
• ATOC Ltd’s ‘General Great British Rail Sale T&Cs’ (please see below); and
• Advance Fare Conditions (unless otherwise stated) (please see https://www.avantiwestcoast.co.uk/tickets-and-savings/ticket-types/advance).

These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.

2. These terms and conditions relate to the sale of Promotional Fares. “Promotional Fares” means tickets available for purchase from First Trenitalia West Coast Rail Limited (trading as ‘Avanti West Coast’, a company registered in England and Wales under company no 10349442, whose registered office is at 8th Floor The Point, 37 North Wharf Road, London, United Kingdom, W2 1AF) as discounted “Rail Sale” tickets during the Purchasing Window.

3.Promotional Fares are only available for purchase via website and mobile applications.

BOOKING DEADLINE

4. Promotional Fares are available to purchase from 10:00 on 6 January 2026 until all available seats have been sold or 23:59 on 12 January 2026, whichever is sooner (the “Purchasing Window”).  Promotional Fares must be purchased at least 7 days in advance of travel.

SELECTED ROUTES AND LIMITED AVAILABILITY 

5. Promotional Fares may be used for travel on selected journeys taking place between 13 January 2026 and 25 March 2026 (inclusive). Promotional Fares are only available in Standard Class.

6. There will be up to 100,000 Promotional Fare seats available for purchase from Avanti West Coast on a first-come, first-served basis upon the opening of the Purchasing Window. Promotional Fares are subject to quota-controlled availability.

7. Promotional Fares are available for selected journeys only and may not be available at some peak times. Availability is subject to demand and will likely be lower on certain dates and routes that are expected to be busy.

8. A maximum of 9 people may be added to each booking of Promotional Fares (subject to availability).

GENERAL

9. Promotional Fares are non-refundable, unless passengers are unable to travel due to a train delay or cancellation. However, the time and/or date of your journey can be changed at any time before your first reserved train departs. To do so, please contact the train company or ticket retailer you purchased your ticket from. By making such a change, you will incur a £10 admin fee and will need to pay any increase in the fare price, which will be payable upon making the change.

10. A child concession of 50% applies to Promotional Fares for customers aged 5-15 inclusive. Up to two children aged under 5 can travel free with each Promotional Fare paying passenger (although please note seat reservations for children aged under 5 are not available).

11. Railcard discounts (and any other discounts) may not be used in conjunction with Promotional Fares.

12. Customers may not start, break and resume, or end their journey at any intermediate station except to change to/from connecting trains as shown on the ticket(s).

13. Promotional Fare tickets will not be valid for travel on train operator services or on dates or times other than as shown on the tickets.
