How much is a Senior Railcard?

A Senior Railcard costs just £30 and saves you 1/3 on your train tickets every time you travel.

  • 1-year Senior Railcard: £30
  • 3-year Senior Railcard: £70

Who can use a Senior Railcard?

  • Travellers aged 60+
  • Available on Standard and First Class anytime, Off Peak and Advance fares
  • It can’t be loaned or given to anyone else

Where can I buy a Senior Railcard?

Just head to our Railcard Hub to buy or apply for one.

Once you’re all signed up, you can start using your Railcard to receive 1/3 off your train fares with us.

How to use your Senior Railcard

When your Senior Railcard arrives, sign it and keep it safe. The next time you’re taking a trip on an Avanti West Coast train, be sure to bring your Railcard with you so you can present it on-board the train. If you’re buying your ticket at the station, just present your card and we’ll reduce the fare for you. 

How to renew your Senior Railcard 

If your Senior Railcard is about to run out and you’d like to keep saving on rail fares, follow these simple steps:

Can you get a refund on Railcards? 

Railcards are non-refundable, but rail fares can be compensated with Delay Repay if your train is delayed by 15 minutes or more.
