Ethical Rainforest Alliance coffee
Fancy a coffee en route? Avanti West Coast have teamed up with award-winning social enterprise Change Please Coffee, who help homeless people by teaching them barista skills.
So you can enjoy a great cup of java, with a dash of good karma.
Locally sourced produce
Wherever possible, Avanti West Coast partner with local suppliers along our train routes, so you’ll be able to get a taste of the West Coast as you whiz along it at 125 mph. From Rubies in the Rubble’s West Coast Apple and Cider Chutney, to still and sparkling Wenlock Water from Wenlock Edge in Shropshire, we’re passionate about celebrating the best of British on our trains.
Red Willow – Such is our admiration for Red Willow, we asked them to make a special beer just for us. They came up with a lovely pale ale called Tilting Ale that’s best enjoyed served at 125mph on a Pendolino.
Brew Tea – Nothing beats a good cup of tea, and Wigan’s Brew Tea know that better than anyone. The proof is in the cuppa.
Denise O'Sullivan Ceramics – We liked Denise O’Sullivan’s beautifully crafted ceramic designs so much, we used some of her bespoke sugar pots – straight from her kiln in Stoke-On-Trent – in our First Class carriages.
Joe & Seph's Popcorn – Joe & Seph’s award-winning popcorn is a firm favourite aboard our trains, and we’ve helped spread the word from their factory in Harlesden all along the west coast.
Mrs Kirkham’s Lancashire Cheese – For our cheese fix we headed just north of Preston. It’s here that Mrs Kirkham’s award-winning raw cow’s milk cheese is made by Graham and his family to the same recipe his grandmother perfected decades ago.
The Pudding Compartment – Holyhead’s The Pudding Compartment are passionate about their puds, and so are we. Their buttery biscuits can now be found on-board and in our First Class lounges.
Wenlock Spring Water – From the famous Wenlock Edge, Wenlock Spring Water is high in calcium. With nothing added and nothing taken away.
Ways to pay
We accept all major credit and debit cards in our on-board shop, as well as Apple Pay and Contactless. But of course, if you’d prefer to do things the old fashioned way, you can pay by cash too.
