Liverpool has been a UNESCO City of Music for ten years, and for good reason! This summer enjoy the incredible range of festivals, gigs, and much more in Liverpool’s “Summer of Music”.

 

Kicking off with an amazing line-up of shows and events for Liverpool Music Month and continuing throughout the rest of the summer, Liverpool really is a true City of Music and definitely a must-visit for Summer 2026!

Liverpool Music Month;
Sound City Festival – 2-3 May.

Long established as one of Europe’s leading independent music festival and conferences. Sound City festival brings fresh independent artists, international acts and music enthusiasts together for a jam-packed weekend of music. Discover your next favourite artist here!

Liverpool Philharmonic – 1-31 May.

The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic has a whole month of amazing music lined up including an incredible celebration of the Beach Boys by the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra.

Baltic Weekender – 29 – 30 May.

Rounding out the month with something completely different! The Baltic Weekender offers a high-energy weekend of electronic, house, techno, grime, drum & bass and disco music in Liverpool’s exciting Baltic Triangle.

Summer of Music;

There’s even more to love between June and August! Liverpool will play host to major events including Foo Fighters and My Chemical Romance at Anfield Stadium, Lewis Capaldi in Sefton Park on the  15th August, and the amazing Nile Rodgers & Chic performing at Lock and Quay in Bootle on the 16th August.

There is also the see-it-to-believe-it On The Waterfront festival from 18th to 21st of June, set against the backdrop of the iconic Three Graces and this year boasting headliners Paul Weller, Red Rum Club, 10 Years of Cream Classical and Snow Patrol.

International Beatles Week -

And if you’d like to make a weekend of it, you can enjoy established favourites for music lovers in the city, including the highly interactive British Music Experience quirky music venue and record shop The Jacaranda and of course legendary Beatles landmarks such as Strawberry Field and The Cavern Club.
