Remember: Even if you booked your tickets via our website, there are more options for changing your journey if you do it via our app.
Change of journey via our app:
- Available for Advance, Anytime or, Off-Peak tickets
- Only E-tickets and uncollected paper tickets can be amended
- You won’t be able to change your journey if you’ve booked a Plus Bus, Travel Card or Bike reservation as an extra
- You won't be able to change the station from which you depart
- You won't be able to change the station at which you arrive
- Changes made to Advance Tickets - BEFORE 6pm on the day BEFORE you travel - no admin fee
- After 6pm on the day BEFORE you travel - £10 admin fee
If it's after 6pm the day before travel, normal terms and conditions apply. Up to the departure time of your train, you can amend the date and time of your Advance ticket, but not the route, and you'll need to pay the £10 admin fee as well as any difference in fares.
To do this, please call 0345 528 0253 and choose option 5.
- Changes made to Anytime and Off-Peak ticket- any admin fees will be calculated at checkout and ticket price changes may apply, where an additional fee or refund will be stated depending on the fare difference of your original and new journey.
- Advance tickets are non-refundable but can be changed.
- The time and date of a return ticket cannot be changed if the original ticket has been partially used.
- Change seat on the same service is available for Avanti services when there is seat availability.
- Tickets cannot be changed if they have expired.
