Blackpool North Station

Opening out onto the vibrant centre of Blackpool, Blackpool North Train station makes it easy to start your mini-break, day-trip or holiday. Upon exiting the station, you’re a mere 10-minute walk to the seafront and the North Pier. Beyond that, you’ll find the many attractions of Blackpool, including the famous Blackpool Tower, Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Houndshill Shopping Centre and many amusements, pubs, restaurants and hotels.

Built in 1974, Blackpool North replaces a previous station on Talbot road, just a few hundred metres away. It has a contemporary angular roof with a glass and steel frontage that houses 6 platforms. 

Facilities at the station include toilets and Customer Service support. It has step-free access, accessible toilets and ticket machines, and available wheelchairs should you need them. 

Blackpool North station car park is open 24-hours a day, and taxis are usually available in the rank outside.

The busiest of the town’s three train stations, Blackpool North station is served by Avanti West Coast and Northern Trains. Regular services go to Blackburn, Bolton, Leeds, Liverpool Lime Street, Manchester Victoria, Manchester Airport, Preston, Wigan, York, and there’s also a daily service to London Euston.
