Lichfield Trent Valley Station

Lichfield Trent Valley is situated on the outskirts of Lichfield, roughly 1 mile northeast of the city centre. It’s not to be confused with Lichfield City Station, which is found in the city centre. Lichfield Trent Valley serves the north and east sides of the city, and is used by many commuters from the villages surrounding Lichfield, with an annual footfall of just over 1 million passengers.

The station was opened in 1847 and the station buildings were replaced in 2014. It’s a split level station with the low-level platforms serving the West Coast Main Line and the high-level platforms serving Cross City trains. Passenger lifts were installed in 2020 to allow for accessible step-free access between both levels, and there are also stairs and a passenger footbridge.

There are frequent trains from Lichfield Trent Valley to locations across the UK. You can reach London Euston in just under an hour and a half, Crewe in under half an hour, and Bromsgrove in roughly an hour and 15 minutes.

Lichfield Trent Valley Station can be easily reached by bus, and there is also a station car park with 255 spaces. It’s open 24 hours a day and you can pay by the hour, for a full day, or you can opt for a season ticket if you’re a regular commuter.
