What to expect

Manchester Literature Festival lights up the city from 9 – 25 October with a brilliant line up of writers, including Russell T Davies & Bernardine Evaristo, Elif Shafak, Marina Hyde, Emily St. John Mandel and New Yorker journalist Patrick Radden Keefe.

This annual city-wide event offers unique experiences for audiences to interact with some of the finest writers and thinkers from across the globe. The Festival provides a welcoming environment where people come together to be entertained; to share their passion for literature and language; to learn and to reflect on their connections with place, politics and people.

Festival events take place in a variety of prestigious and atmospheric venues across Manchester, including Manchester Museum, The Royal Northern College of Music, Contact, HOME and the historic Central Library.
