The Met Office has issued red and amber weather warnings for extreme heat across much of England and Wales from Monday 22 to Saturday 27 June. As a result of these high temperatures, we’re running fewer trains on some of our routes from Tuesday 23 to Saturday 27 June and there’s a risk of further disruption on the rail network. Saturday’s timetable sees a reduction of one train per hour on our Manchester and Liverpool routes only.
Travelling this weekend? Please check before you travel using the link below. Here’s how to stay cool, safe and comfortable while travelling with us.
- Stay hydrated: top up your refillable bottle at our Water Refill Points onboard and at stations.
- Take your time: don’t rush, especially in the heat. Wherever possible, give yourself plenty of time to catch your train.
- Travelling with pets? Look out for water bowls at our stations to keep your furry friends hydrated.
- Feeling unwell? Our staff are here to help – please speak to someone if you need support.
