Ways to save
The most popular things to do in Warrington town centre are eat, drink and shop. From the main precinct, Golden Square, to the host of independent shops, cafes, bars and restaurants, Warrington is a town with a city vibe, and it’s always welcoming to newcomers. Hop in a taxi and visit Gemini Retail Park for the large furniture and fashion stores.
Kids just love
Gulliver’s World, just outside the town. It’s a proper theme park with rides, amusements and refreshments galore, based on Jonathan Swift’s most famous character. Although it’s definitely aimed at the younger age group, there’s plenty of fun for all ages and levels of bravery. If you like high octane thrills, there’s always
TeamSport Go Karting, right next to Bank Quay Station.
We mentioned the countryside, and there’s beauty in every direction from Warrington. Head to Walton Hall to the south of the town and you’ll find a fantastic park with a free entry zoo, acres of gardens, ponds, mini golf, bowls and pitch and putt – and there will definitely be an ice cream van there too.
