Timetable and ticket release dates

From Monday 26 July we introduced a reduced timetable on the West Coast Main Line. This allows us to manage staff shortages and ensure a reliable service, so our customers can travel with confidence. At this time, some of our train times and timetables are not yet confirmed. This is mainly affecting our weekend services.
We advise you to keep checking back for correct train times and timetables closer to the date of travel, as there will be some changes to our existing and other operators services during this time. You can sign up for Advance ticket alerts to be notified when tickets become available:

Here’s a summary of the services we’ll be operating by destination

This timetable is expected to run until Monday 30 August (inclusive):

Route Summary
Route: Manchester One train per hour to Manchester calling at Milton Keynes, Stoke-on-Trent, Macclesfield, and Stockport.
Two trains per hour via Stoke-on-Trent on Fridays during selected hours between 10.00 – 18.00.
Route: West Midlands and Edinburgh/Blackpool One train per hour to Wolverhampton and Edinburgh/Blackpool, calling at Watford Junction, Milton Keynes, Rugby, Coventry, Birmingham International, Birmingham New Street, Sandwell and Dudley, Wolverhampton, Crewe, Warrington, Wigan, and Preston.
One train every two hours will continue to Edinburgh, and one train every two hours will continue to Blackpool/Preston.
Route: Glasgow One train per hour to Glasgow, calling at Crewe, Warrington, Wigan, Preston, Lancaster, Oxenholme/Penrith and Carlisle.
Route: Liverpool One train per hour to Liverpool, calling at Stafford, Crewe, and Runcorn.
Route: Holyhead / Chester One train per day will run in each direction between London Euston and Holyhead.
A shuttle service will operate between Holyhead and Crewe.
Route: Shrewsbury / Wrexham A limited service will operate to Shrewsbury and Wrexham.
